Happy Friday everyone! I hope you had a great week.
This week flew by but I don’t feel like I really accomplished much. My birthday was Monday but since we celebrated over the weekend, it was really just a regular day. Well…except for the fact that I didn’t have to cook. I also got a pair of big hoop earrings to replace my favorite pair. I lost one of the earrings about a month ago and I guess I complained so much that my husband decided to get me a new pair 🙂
My focus has been trying to get everything ready for school. Trying to get all the clothes and supplies is time consuming and oh, so expensive! My boys are growing like weeds and nothing from last year fits now. Both boys got a pair of new shoes and I about flipped when I saw the sizes they are wearing AND the price!
Jake is in a 12 and Jeb had to get a size 13! Jeb is only 11 years old and hasn’t even hit puberty. I can’t even begin to guess what he will be wearing in another 2 – 3 years. I think after 13, you have to start ordering shoes–YIKES!
I have my fingers crossed that the shoes and clothes I purchased will at least last for a few months. I am not sure my budget can withstand another hit like it took this week. I have a feeling I will need to increase their clothing budget next year…or make them get a job–tee tee!
We have a little fun planned with friends this weekend so I need to run and start getting things cleaned up. Movie night is starting soon and I want to be ready to kick back and veg out for a while.
