Happy Friday everyone…I hope you all had a safe and fun 4th of July!
With the 4th falling on a Thursday, it kinda feels like the holiday should last 4 days…but of course I have too much to do for that to be an option. I did kick back and relax a bit yesterday. The weather has been super hot but we have had some cloud cover and a few pop up showers that have made things interesting. My grass and plants definitely need the water so I am not complaining too much.
We are headed out in a bit to see the new Spider-man movie with some friends. My youngest is a Spider-man fanatic and has been begging to go since the movie came out on Tuesday. I thought about surprising him and going early in the day…but things didn’t work out—so, tonight it is!
We are headed to Atlanta to visit my family for a few hours tomorrow. My dad had surgery and we are going to try to help my mom knock out a few chores. Well, that is if she will let us. My mom thinks she is super woman and can do everything without any help at all. I think that is where I get my crazy can-do-it-all attitude 😉
She is being a bit stubborn and insisting that she doesn’t need help. But after working all week, cooking every meal, cleaning the house, doing laundry and all the outside work PLUS dealing with my dad…she ended up with a cold. So, I figure Jim and one the boys can cut her lawn while I grab the other boy to clean the house and knock out a little laundry. I am also going to try to get some meals set up so she can just come home from work and have some food that she can simply heat and eat.
Maybe Sunday we can all kick back and hang by the pool for a while. Well, as long as the weather holds out!
