Try Me Tuesday - Publix Chocolate Creme Cookies (OREO Cookies) on I Heart Publix

Welcome to this week’s Try Me Tuesday. As a reminder…each week I will grab a new set of products and test them out. I’ll put the Publix brand up against a national brand product and report back.

I know many times I struggle with what brand to choose. Often a sale or a coupon/sale combination make that an easier decision…but what about those times when you need an item and there is not a sale? Do you grab the house brand or pay more and get the national brand? More importantly, is there really a difference in taste?

This week we tried Publix Chocolate Creme Cookies.

RESULTS

  • Publix – 0
  • Nabisco – 4

Well, as you can see by the results, the OREO cookie was definitely the winner. Now, the Publix cookie wasn’t bad or anything…the OREO cookie was just much better. I can guarantee you that both packs will be demolished within a week or so. My guys won’t turn down any cookie EVER!

I actually planned this one and grabbed the Publix cookies while they were on sale for just $1.50 and then grabbed the OREO while they were on sale too. While I wouldn’t mind getting the Publix version if I needed them. Unless I just needed a package of sandwich cookies, I would probably just wait for a sale on OREO cookies.

So have you tried both? Did you have a preference?
